Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a cruise should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Here are answers to some of the most common questions about how I work, what to expect, and how the planning process flows from start to finish.

What type of travel do you specialize in?

True Memories Travel specializes in premium, luxury, and group cruise experiences.

Do you still plan land vacations or Europe trips?

At this time, True Memories Travel focuses on cruise vacations only. If you are looking for a land vacation or Europe trip, I’m happy to connect you with a trusted travel advisor in my network who specializes in that type of travel.

Do you charge a planning fee?

For individual cruise bookings, no planning fee is required.

For group cruise bookings with 5 or more cabins, a non-refundable group coordination fee applies based on the number of cabins booked:

  • 5 to 8 cabins: $125

  • 9 to 24 cabins: $250

  • 25 or more cabins: $350

No group coordination fee applies to bookings with fewer than 5 cabins.

If the number of booked cabins moves into a higher fee tier after the initial group coordination fee has been paid, the additional difference in the applicable fee will be charged.

.

What counts as a group cruise?

A group cruise typically involves multiple cabins, multiple travelers, or added coordination for birthdays, milestone celebrations, family trips, friends getaways, or other shared cruise experiences.

How do I get started?

The first step is submitting a cruise inquiry form. Once your inquiry is reviewed, you will receive the next steps if your request is a good fit for my services.

Does submitting the inquiry form confirm my booking?

No. Submitting the inquiry form does not confirm a booking, guarantee a quote, or secure pricing or availability.

Can cruise pricing change?

Yes. Cruise pricing and availability can change at any time until your deposit or payment has been made and accepted by the supplier.

Do you help with premium, luxury, and group cruises?

Yes. I help travelers choose the right cruise experience based on their travel style, preferences, and overall budget, whether they are planning an individual sailing or a group cruise.

Will you help with flights, transfers, and related travel details?

Yes. If needed, I can help guide you through the travel details connected to your cruise experience, including flights, transfers, and related planning support, based on the itinerary and supplier options available.

Do I need a passport for my cruise?

Passport requirements can vary depending on the itinerary. I strongly recommend traveling with a valid passport, and all travelers are responsible for making sure they have the proper documentation for their trip.

Do you offer travel insurance?

Yes. Travel insurance is strongly recommended and can be added to your cruise booking depending on the supplier and itinerary. If you decline coverage, you may be responsible for cancellation penalties and other travel-related losses.

What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

If you cancel your trip, supplier cancellation penalties may apply based on the cruise line or travel supplier’s terms. In addition, True Memories Travel charges a $75 per person cancellation fee for client-initiated cancellations, regardless of whether travel insurance was purchased.

Are payments refundable?

Refund eligibility depends on the cruise line or travel supplier’s terms and conditions. Some bookings may be partially refundable, and some may be non-refundable from the time of booking.

Who is responsible for payment deadlines and travel documents?

Travelers are responsible for making payments by the stated due dates and for making sure all required travel documents are valid and ready for travel.
